JEONGYUN JEONG

Hi! I'm Jeongyun Jeong, an enthusiastic engineer based in Toronto, passionate about designing, building, and refining details to create exceptional products.

Beyond my academic foundation and hands-on experience, I bring artistic inspiration to my work, ensuring that every design is not only structurally and functionally optimized but also aesthetically refined to meet the highest standards of customers or companies.

I am set to graduate in June 2025 with a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University and am actively seeking opportunities to contribute my skills. My expertise spans 3D modeling, finite element analysis (FEA) for structural assessments, prototyping and manufacturing (including carbon fiber and fiberglass layups), and robotics.

For the past three years, I have worked as an Undergraduate Research Student at the Mixed-Reality Immersive Motion Simulation Laboratory (MIMS Lab), where I supported PhD projects, including an Unreal Engine 4-based flight simulation program (taxiing and routing) and product evaluations. This experience broadened my perspective in aerospace and VR/AR technologies, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving.

Additionally, I have been an integral part of the Toronto Met Aero Design (TMAD) team for three years, serving as Ground Terrain Vehicle Subteam Lead, Design Team Manager, and Payload & Payload Carriage System Lead. I have actively participated in the SAE International Aero Design Competition in Texas and Florida annually, gaining invaluable experience in technical design and leadership while collaborating with fellow engineers, senior mentors, and technical officers.

I am eager to bring my skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to a dynamic team. If you’d like to learn more about my experience or discuss potential opportunities, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn or reach out via email.
